Hi, I'm Diane Hayes.

My husband Garry and I opened OrthoMedix in Ottawa in 1992. We manufacture and provide orthopaedic devices for better health. Our custom moulded foot orthotics not only provide comfort, they can also help control foot function.

Products we fit and provide include: orthopaedic and orthotic footwear, orthopaedic devices prescribed by health care professionals, compression garments and dynamic splinting devices with low load prolonged stretch.

We must hear at least a dozen times a week, I have orthotics and all I can wear are running shoes or granny shoes. This is the most common complaint we get from those who are prescribed foot orthotics and the reason why many who have custom orthotics don't wear them. Who says orthopaedic footwear has to be ugly and something even your grandmother wouldn't wear.

Our selection of orthopaedic and orthotic footwear will change this way of thinking. We carry attractive walking shoes and winter boots from around the world, and stylish summer sandals. Yes, you can wear custom orthotics with sandals. Quality, durability and functionality are critical factors in our selection of footwear.
